The Public Works Department will be backfilling the roadway to get the road open before the end of October 2021. Permanent repairs will be completed in the Spring of 2022. Thank you to everyone for your patience during this closure.

FRETZ ROAD CLOSURE: UPDATE OCTOBER 21st:
The Township has been notified by PennDOT that a section of Fretz Road (between Wambold and Skippack Creek Road) will be closed for 30 days beginning October 21, 2021. CLOSURE DATE HAS BEEN MOVED TO OCTOBER 27, 2021. This closure is to install underground drainage and sewer for the new warehouse that is being constructed in that area. Fretz is a State-owned roadway and detours have been posted. Thank you to everyone for their patience during this project closure.

ROBERTS ROAD BRIDGE CLOSED: JUNE 17, 2021:
Due to structural failures caused by major storms over recent years, this bridge was permanently closed by the County on June 17, 2021. Emergency and Transportation services have been notified and a detour is in place. For more information on this bridge, please contact the Montgomery County Office of Roads and Bridges at: 610-278-3613.

UPDATE:  ALDERFER ROAD BRIDGE REPLACEMENT:

This project began on April 1, 2021 with the bridge being closed to all traffic on April 7, 2021. This project has been awarded to R.E. Pierson Contractors and is scheduled to take approximately 8 months to complete. Due to shortages in materials along with severe weather this summer, this project started to fall behind. However, the Township has approved additional manpower on the project to keep progress on track.  It is the plan to have the bridge open to traffic before the end of 2021.  The Township thanks everyone in advance for their patience during this much-needed infrastructure improvement.
