Lower Salford Township is committed to improving public safety by expanding access to Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) throughout the community and helping residents feel confident using them in an emergency.
As part of this effort, new Avive AEDs have been placed in police vehicles, the Township Building, and the Public Works Building. Additional publicly accessible AEDs will be installed in select Township parks in the coming months.
To help residents get familiar with these devices, Lower Salford Township Police Officer Michael Parnas recorded a training demonstration covering the features of the new Avive AEDs and walking through how they're used during a cardiac emergency.
The AED itself provides clear voice prompts to guide users through each step, but taking a few minutes to watch this demonstration now can help build confidence before an emergency happens.
Watch the training video below to learn more about the Township's new AEDs and how they can help save lives.
