Beginning Monday, March 30, Lower Salford Township’s Public Works Department will begin roadway repairs on Oak Drive near the intersection of Moyer Road. The work will include installation of a pavement drain and repair of pavement in that area.
The current schedule is to install the pavement drain on Monday, followed by pavement repairs on Tuesday. This work is being completed in advance of the planned installation of a new 4-way stop at the intersection. Township staff are hoping to begin restriping the intersection on Wednesday, with the full project finished by Thursday or Friday, weather permitting.
To allow the work to be completed safely and efficiently, temporary traffic patterns will be in place during construction. Beginning at 9:00 a.m. each day, Oak Drive will be closed at Main Street to minimize westbound traffic entering the work zone. Eastbound traffic on Oak Drive will be maintained throughout the project. Message boards will also be used to alert motorists in advance of the closure.
Emergency vehicles and school buses will be accommodated in both directions at all times.
Residents are encouraged to use caution in the area and allow extra travel time while this work is underway. The Township appreciates the public’s patience and cooperation as these improvements are made.
