Whether you're enjoying a walk, watching a game, or spending time with family, help is now a little closer if a cardiac emergency happens.
Earlier this year, Lower Salford Township purchased 16 new Avive automated external defibrillators (AEDs) to expand access to lifesaving equipment throughout our community.
With park installations complete, residents and visitors can find AEDs in climate-controlled, publicly accessible cabinets at the following locations:
- Heckler Plains Farmstead
- Charles Reed Park
- Dan Roth Park
- Jacob Reiff Park
- The Community Center
- Alderfer Park
The Avive AEDs are designed for anyone to use, with clear voice prompts that guide users through each step. To learn more about the devices and how to use them, watch the Township’s AED training video.
Thank you to the Harleysville Lions Club, Harleysville Jaycees, and Rotary Club of Harleysville, whose generous contributions helped make this initiative possible. Their support is making lifesaving equipment more accessible in the places where our community gathers. We’re grateful to everyone who helped bring this project to life and make LST a safer place to live, work, and visit.
