Township Receives Environmental Award

Township Honored by the Perkiomen Watershed Conservancy

Every year the Perkiomen Watershed Conservancy recognizes those individuals or groups who show an outstanding dedication to preserving and protecting the land and water resources of the Perkiomen Watershed. This year, Lower Salford Township is the recipient of the Municipal Environmental Award for our significant contributions towards improving and/or preserving the Perkiomen Watershed. The Township has repeatedly sought to protect and restore key riparian forest areas along both the Skippack Creek corridor and the East Branch Creek corridor. The Township is honored to be recognized once again, having received this Award in 2008 and 2012 as well.
